Kyiv CPM and the Humanitarian Post of Ukraine from Nova Poshta have joined forces to help those in need.
As you know, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill has started a charity project to make corrugated cardboard beds for Ukrainians who find themselves in difficult conditions and are forced to sleep outside their homes – in resettlement centres, in bomb shelters or in war zones. These are cardboard beds that are constructed from a box on the spot in a few minutes.
Since the beginning of April, the Kyiv CPM has made over 1000 such beds and is ready to continue doing it. The initiative has been widely welcomed by volunteer organisations, territorial communities, charities supporting displaced families etc. More than 600 beds have already been made available for their needs.
Nova Poshta as a socially responsible company, which launched
“Humanitarian Post of Ukraine, has joined the project and acts as its logistical partner. After all, not everyone in need of these beds can provide the transportation themselves.
The beds are made of moisture-resistant cardboard, can support weights of over 100 kg and are assembled in a few minutes. Last but not least, they are fully recyclable and do not create any additional ecological burden.
This cooperation of industry leaders will help many Ukrainians not only take care of their health, but also feel more comfortable in a challenging environment.
